Come and join us for a day of wellbeing, exploration in circus, live music and traditional tuscan food.
About Sotto Sopra Festival
Throughout the day there will be several different workshop offerings such as yoga, circus, meditation, breath-work, silk, trapeze, juggling, hoop, creative movement and dance fitness. Amongst the workshops there will be live DJs, bands, entertainment and traditional Tuscan food.
Morning Workshops (to be announced soon!)
Everyone who purchases a ticket will have to opportunity to register for one or two of the workshops provided (depending on whether you buy a morning ticket, afternoon ticket or full day ticket). There will be two sets of workshops in the morning running from 08:30 – 13:00. Each workshop will last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the workshop. After the morning workshops, a traditional Italian lunch will be provided by La Serra di Montuliveto. After lunch we will take a few hours break from the midday sun, where there will be some live DJs to carry us into the afternoon.
Afternoon Workshops (to be announced soon!)
From 16:00 the 3rd round of workshops will begin. For those who have purchased an afternoon/day ticket, this will be your chance to partake in the offerings of the festival. After the workshops have ended (around 17:30), we will shortly be commencing the evening ceremonies, where we will gather to celebrate to love that we share for each other by exchanging vowels of admiration for your friends, family or partner. There is limited space to register for these special ceremonies. Please sign-up following the instructions in the email.
Circus Performances
At 19:00 the performances will begin. Circus performers from all over the world will join together and demonstrate their skill, passion and flair of imagination. We will watch in amazement as they grace the stage with their creative performances. This cabaret will take us into the night. After the days activities, we will no doubt be hungry for some of Tuscany’s famous traditional foods.
Food
For those who’ve purchased a full day or afternoon ticket, you will be treated to a vast buffet selection of wholesome, nourishing food. Free from animal cruelty and harm, La serra will be offering a completely plant-based menu to excite your tastebuds and fill your bellies in preparation for the events to come.
Dance
After dinner we will be gifted with live music to warm our souls and open our hearts to a greater sense of community. There will be an opportunity to join each other on the dance floor and move to the sounds with freedom and a loss of inhibitions.
Disco
If the festivities haven’t tired you out by the evening, a night disco will fill the sound system. This disco will take us into the early hours of a new day.
More Information
All refreshments will be available to purchase from La Serra di Montuliveto. Once you have purchased your ticket, you will receive an email. This email will contain all the information you should need and a link to book your space onto the workshops. When you arrive at the festival, you will be greeted by our volunteers. They will scan your ticket and offer you a wristband. Your wristband will be your ticket to access the workshops, for lunch and dinner. For those who have purchased a day ticket, your wristband will guarantee you a seated view of the show.
